Southpac Trust New Zealand was established in 2013 to connect international clients with foreign trust opportunities in one of the most stable and well-regarded jurisdictions in the world.
More detailed information on New Zealand and New Zealand foreign trusts is available here.
Through the Southpac Group framework we ensure that our clients receive the highest levels of expertise by leveraging our global network of trusted professionals with decades of shared experience. The following services enable us to cater to the needs of sophisticated investors and protect and nurture everything our clients have diligently accumulated throughout their lives.
Trustee and Fiduciary Services
Since 2013 we have offered trustee and fiduciary services to Southpac clients through our New Zealand trustee company, building on our decades of experience in Southpac’s other jurisdictions.
As a trusted wealth planning partner, we appreciate the importance to clients of having a professional, suitably qualified, trustworthy and easily contactable trustee looking after their assets. We have a team of qualified professionals advising the Southpac trustee companies, who ensure that a Southpac trustee is a proactive trustee which fully understands how to fulfil its fiduciary responsibilities.
Trustee and fiduciary services in the Cook Islands and Nevis are also available through Southpac companies in those jurisdictions, together with company and foundation services.
Offshore Trusts
New Zealand foreign trusts provide protection and tax efficiency in a stable and well-regarded environment.
They can serve as independent and secure vehicles for wealth planning. By placing the ownership of assets into a New Zealand foreign trust, a foreign settlor can ensure protection against unforeseen circumstances including unstable government, asset confiscation, kidnapping, extortion, or potential future creditors. Foreign judgments against a New Zealand foreign trust will only be recognized in limited circumstances.
Forced heirship claims are not recognized, allowing trust settlors to exercise testamentary freedom which is not allowed in their home country.
World-class asset protection need not cost the earth. We offer fixed-fee full-service trust packages from US$7,000 per year. Contact us for more information and details on how to apply.

Offshore trusts are also available through Southpac’s Cook Islands and Nevis companies:
LLCs, IBCs and Foundations
Company and foundation options in the Cook Islands and Nevis are available through Southpac’s companies operating in those jurisdictions. These can operate in conjunction with a New Zealand foreign trust.
Investment and Banking Services
Southpac can set up investment portfolios in jurisdictions outside of your home country, whether on a standalone basis or as part of a trust/company structure.
We work with leading boutique investment advisors and private banks throughout the world to provide tailored investment solutions for our clients. The firms we use have been in business for decades and we have trusted relationships with them. The banks we use are typically non-lending and as a result have very secure balance sheets. We have relationships with banks in multiple jurisdictions, including Switzerland, the Cook Islands, Liechtenstein, Austria, Nevis, Belize and the USA. We are always looking for additional custodial partners who meet our stringent criteria.
Through understanding our clients’ circumstances and requirements we can introduce them to investment and custodial solutions to meet these needs.
We continually monitor investment portfolios to ensure that they perform above benchmark and meet clients’ investment objectives.

Southpac provides accounting solutions to save you time. We can prepare management accounts, periodic financial statements and special purpose reports in line with generally accepted accounting principles and international accounting standards.
